Hey everyone thanks for taking the time to help me out! I'm a non-trad with a low GPA but solid upward trend (last 5 semesters: 3.75, 4.0, 3.80, 3.91, 3.93) and a decent MCAT score. I would really like to attend an MD school, I know my uGPA is low, but I hope my more recent grades and MCAT will help me with maybe getting an interview. I also have a somewhat unique story: I was homeless during periods of my childhood, and things are much better now, but it sparked my desire to serve those in my community currently experiencing homelessness (its what I would like to do as a physician one day!). Thanks for any help guys!

As you can see, I'm taking a shotgun approach (while still making sure to keep the qualities of my secondaries high) because of my low uGPA. If there are any schools I should add or get rid off please let me know!

Oregon, Virginia Tech and Geisinger accept very few applicants with no connection to the state or region. You could add these schools:
Oakland Beaumont
NOVA MD
TCU-UNT
Also apply to several DO schools and I suggest these:
TUCOM-CA
WESTERN
TUNCOM
AZCOM
ATSU-KCOM
KCU-COM
DMU-COM
PCOM
Touro-NY
NYITCOM
MU-COM

Thank you so much Faha! I wasn’t thinking of applying DO but I’ll probably add some DO schools now!

do you think my app may be good enough for some MD schools? I know my uGPA is low but I’ve had a great trend and I was hopinv the rest of my app and my story would help me a little bit.

Here is a more reasonable list:
Dartmouth
BU
Duke
Pitt
Mayo
Mt Sinai
Keck (maybe)
Temple (maybe)
UCSF
EVMS
Hofstra
Emory
Jefferson
U VM
Miami
Drexel
Albany
Tufts
NYMC
TCU/UNT
Your state schools
Rush
Loyola
Rosy Franklin
Tulane
Wake
MCW
SLU
Creighton
Wayne State
Netter

NovaMD
NYU.LI
Any DO program. Include UNECOM if you’re from the NE, OSUCOM if you’re from the Plains states and PacNW if you’re from that region. I can't recommend ARCOM, RVU, Nova, BCOM, ICOM and LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me. CUHS is too new and appears to be too limited in rotations sites. Avoid those new schools that haven't graduated a class yet, if at all possible.
