Hey guys, I was just hoping to get some input regarding my chances at matching at certain top programs.
Academic background: MS4 at US MD school, Step 1 and Step 2 CK: 260's, AOA, A's on most clerkship (1B)
,
Research:
Summer project in Neuro that I got a poster out of; presented it at 2 conferences
Submitted a systematic review to a Dementia journal
working on 2 other papers but they're not likely to be submitted before I apply.
No publications yet
MSC: Outside of being co- founder of a fairly active 501c3 org, my extracurricular are pretty standard (Member of a few committees, tutor, volunteer, vice- president/ secretary of interest group...)
The programs I intend to apply to (Like Johns Hopkins) seem to be very research- oriented and since I have no actual publications, how detrimental is that to my application.
Thank you!
