I do not know if I should take another gap year or apply this cycle.

  1. 3.5 cGPA, 3.3sGPA; Upward trend
  2. MCAT score(s) and breakdown: 503 (126/124/124/129)
  3. State of residence or country of citizenship (if non-US): GA
  4. Ethnicity and/or race: Black
  5. Undergraduate institution or category: State school
  6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer): Around 400 paid clinical and ~400 clinical volunteering
  7. Research experience and productivity: ~200 with a poster
  8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented: ~250 (internal medicine)
  9. Non-clinical volunteering: ~ 400 hrs of across food bank and crisis counselor
  10. French TA (In charge of group discussion), and Tutor and Academic Coach for about 2 yrs
  11. Relevant honors or awards: Dean's honor list all semesters except one and Research award

Please specify your state of residence. It really can make a difference as a Black/URM applicant.

What have mentors told you? Have they encouraged you to apply? You have a good shot on metrics but it will completely depend on mission fit to me.
 
I'm sorry about that. I'm in Georgia. I have not asked anyone yet since I just got my MCAT back.
