Date of submission: 6/15

Overall GPA: 3.82

Science GPA: 3.78

Bio-Chem-Physics GPA: 3.85

DAT: AA: 22 TS: 22

Minority? No Reapplicant? No

Would appreciate any feedback (if I should apply more broadly, etc)! I understand that it is a bit top-heavy, but focusing on location and possible specialization rates. Kind of in that phase of waiting and unsure if I should feel confident/at ease or not since a lot of these schools have some in-state/regional bias :’)

"a bit" top heavy?
you have 6 of the top 12-15 most difficult schools to get into
and UConn is close to top 15, plus UConn and Rutgers give instate after one year, so they are extremely competitive OOS
and Washington OOS students recently have been really high stats
fortunately, you do have pretty good stats and ECs, so you have a chance
i would feel more comfortable if you did more things to get noticed at UNC
is your "legacy" relative a general dentite or specialist? have they maintained contact with UCSF?

Thanks for the honest response! I acknowledge that the schools I applied to are competitive, but again focusing a lot on location/specialization rates. If you have any school suggestions in a more urban environment I’d appreciate it.
What kind of things can I do to be noticed at UNC? I’ve been trying to keep track of any events to try and network, but there hasn’t been any so far.

Sibling just graduated this year and is doing residency at columbia. As for maintaining contact, hard to say since they just left a couple weeks ago but has good connections.
oops, sorry
i saw that and then forgot about it
*facepalm*
my apologies

did you go to UNC or NCSt?

not sure i would count a sibling as a legacy (i was thinking parent or grandparent)
but as long as they left on good conditions and was well known, it cannot hurt...
