Shadow a med student before shadowing a doctor! Think about it!
I love working in an ED that has students rotate through from the local DO school. Taught a few of them the other day how to establish an IV in an EJ. Let one of the eager ones try it.
Of course I used the opportunity to pick their brains on the school they are attending and what they think of it (happy, miserable, classes, etc). Lots of discontent amongst the ranks but a few genuinely seemed happy and most said they are glad they did it.
