Hey guys and gals,

I want to go to NYU. I need to know what gpa I need to get, what mcat score (breakdowns too, if possible, please). And how much research and other extra-curric's I need. Thanks all for those who respond.

For those accepted to NYU last year, per the most recent MSAR:

Median cGPA 3.8
Median BCPM GPA 3.8
Median MCAT score 34
" PS 12
" VS 11
" BS 12
Research 91% listed it. Plan on 2+ years
Community Service 69%
Medical Experience 91%

Try to get in leadership and teaching as well.

Curious though, the breakdown scores, when you add them up, are 35, not 34. Which one is more valid, 34 or 35?

This is the data from the MSAR. It gave all those numbers separately. So 34 is the more correct. Keep in mind this is acceptee data. matriculant stats are usualy a tad lower, since everyone accepted doesn't actually attend due to multiple acceptances.
