hey everyone I just got an email today from bu saying that I was placed on the waitlist due to the large applicant pool and that the waitlist will be finalized on june 1st... it also said that most people on the list will be accepted...so i was just wondering who was put on the waitlist or if anyone was rejected? thanks!!! 🙂

Is anyone still waiting to hear back from the BU program about whether or not they got in? I took the MCAT for the first time this past April and just submitted my scores yesterday...reading about how many ppl applied and were put on the waitlist so long ago makes me a little worried that I might be a little late in the game...what do you all think? I'm in the same boat. I've been waitlisted since the third week of may. I just received my mcat score and didn't do as well as I had hoped. I sent the scores however to Michelle Hall. Hopefully I will see some movement. I'm still waiting to hear from Drexel and had to put a deposit down at Barry U to ensure I'd have a place to go this fall. Hope it all works out. I really want to be at BU.

I was originally waitlisted on 5/19, and received a waitlist update on 6/05 saying that I would be updated again by 7/01.

what is Michelle Hall's email address? Should I send an official MCAT score report from the testing organization too? I just faxed mine in so far.

Argh. Being waitlisted until 8/1 and starting classes in Sept doens't give much time for moving and stuff. What are the stats of other waitlisted folks?

I'm still waitlisted (my stats are in post #5 on this thread)...I got the same "update by August 1st" e-mail last week. On the bright side I finally received an acceptance to the VCU/MCV Physiology Certificate program this morning so unless I get off these other waitlists I'm on (BU MAMS and Drexel MSP), VCU is definitely where I'll be next month 🙂

I called Michelle Hall on Tuesday to ask about the waitlist. She told me the committee would meet later that day to discuss waitlisted people. I got an e-mail today saying I was accepted (off the waitlist). Good luck to those of you still waiting.

I called yesterday after recieving my acceptance to NYMC...and MIchelle Hall (i'm sure you are all know her) told me that I was wait-listed. She told me that i can be accepted even a day before classes begin depending on how many people decide not to take their acceptance. I don't know what to do...is the BU program better than the NYMC program? Should I tell NYMC that will be attending this Fall? I have 2 weeks...1.5 to be exact. But I agree with you guys--it's getting tight. It's the end of July and I think classes begin late August or early September. I live in California--so it's going to be crazy waiting on BU or even moving to new york.

I would at least send in a deposit to NYMC. You would not want to lose an opportunity. There were a few people who did get in right before classes started at BU last year, so it could happen. The BU MAMS program is one of the best in the country and highly regarded.

The way Ms. Hall explained it to me was since they dont have an application deadline, the waitlisted applicants are continously re-evaluated with the new applications. As far as rejections go, i have no clue. I'm just praying i here from bu within 2 weeks otherwise ill have to go to Barry.

Hey guys!! Well I was in the same boat—I was just admitted off the wait list and totally understand how some of you guys are confused, frustrated, keeping hope, or thinking you have no chance. Well...hopefully this information can help you guys out by giving you insight.

There were people who were not accepted and some were put on a wait-list. Those that were wait-listed and Michelle Hall believes have no chance getting in by the time school begins have been notified that they have been taken off the wait list. Everyone else on the wait-list still have a chance. The wait list is constantly re-evaluated…so if you were on it in june – it doesn’t matter…someone wait-listed in july can be admitted before you. The wait list ranks everyone from 10 to 1 (ten being the category that gets admitted first), based on their scores, gpa, etc. I think they should be on 7 or 6 by now. They are still taking people on the wait list.

i think most people have been hearing from them via email. Who knows, maybe they started with phone calls. I will likely give them a call on Wednesday to see what the situation is. Does anyone have any additional info?
