washington manual

well...let me add on to this:

it looks a bit more streamlined, has more algorithms, has a new toxicology chapter, and gives you free access to an e-version of the book either online or on your android/iphone, etc. if you've the CME money, it's only 50 bucks through amazon.

but, if you don't need all that stuff and/or don't have the cme money, then I agree with the above statement.

is it worth buying new 34th edition of washington manual ?

I enjoyed reading my 33rd edition during med school and intern year.

Thank you

I have the 34th edition and I think the inkling app is EXCELLENT. You can have it on iphone and/or iPad (no internet necessary once you download the chapters). The electronic version alone is worth it (it is not the same as crappy electronic app that came with 33d edition)

You can try one free chapter on inkling.com then decide for yourself if it is worth it.

Agree with instate. Never bought it. Seemed like a waste of money at the time. Looking back it definitely would have been a waste of money. You do so much medicine as an IM resident your regular readings in journals, Harrison's, board reviews, etc etc gives you everything you need. I did use wash manual cardio and critical care. Those were excellent.

I'm currently an MS-3 and will be starting my IM rotations in a week. I'm not sure if it's best to buy Wash Manual OR Pocket Medicine. I see that there's a Wash Manual app for iphone (designed by Unbound) but is that the same app that you get for free if you buy the actual book?
