I have a question. I can't find the 6 questions for the supplementals on the WSU site.

Do they no longer require them?

If you mean WSU, then yes, I got a call today for interview on Jan 29 at the Pullman Campus.

Didn't apply to UW.

I just got a phone call and it seems too unofficial.

Nothing yet. I think she said we will get the confirmation email later next week. When's your interview? which campus?

I was initially offered the interview on 1/29 but I rescheduled it to early Feb. My interview also will be at Pullman. =)
 
I'll be there on the fifth in Spokane. Figured they put me there since I'm an out of stater
 
Can any one post some of the interview update here. I haven't heard anything from them yet🙁. Are they still inviting for an interview??? Please Please Please help!!!

I will also be there on the 5th @ Spokane. Coming from Sacramento,CA- I hope it will be smooth?

Any advices for the interview past interviewees? Greatly appreciated.
 
I went to the interview today and I believe is their first round of interview. The staffs and faculties there are VERY nice. Don't be too nervous and just relax. Interview last 30 min + 15 mins writing and the rest of the time is hanging out with the the students, staffs, and faculties there. Take it easy because they are extremely nice people!!👍

on pharmcas it said interviews are held mid jan through feb.
so this must mean they about done inviting people right?
they don't seem to interview a lot.

How many people were at the interview for those that already went?

so far its jan 15, jan 29, feb 5??
 
my interview is scheduled feb 19

For those that got interview invites, do you mind sharing your stats? And is there anyone from WA state? I am still waiting to hear from them. I have not received any confirmation indicating they have received my application and whether it was complete but they cashed my check. I guess I just have to keep my fingers crossed.
 
They haven't been responding to emails.

How I see it: They have their interviews set. They'll select from that pool and when all is done with, they'll send out the rejection letters.

Shunpo's view is incorrect. They have not filled all of their interview slots.

Don't worry r3ady2go! I'm sure you'll hear back.
 
WSU is sending out interview information via email. I received the email yesterday and called to confirm my appointment which is on the 12th. Good luck to you and hope you hear from them soon! 😉
 
I am from WA state. They emailed me with the interview invitation. Keep checking your email because they are interviewing early this month.

Hey guys.. To does who have not heard back from the admissions office, don't worry! I'm a P2 student right now. When I applied 2 years ago, I turned in the application the day before it was due! So I didn't hear back until mid Feb. From what I heard, we are doing interviews every Fridays till the end of the month and maybe even the first week of March.

and trust me when I say that the staff and faculty is really really nice!! So just relax, it will be fine during your interview. Be sure to ask lots of questions at the end when they ask you if you have any questions for them. The more you show interest in the school and what they do, I think the better chances you have.

If you are out of state, you're not out out of luck. For my class (2012), more than half my classmates are not from washington. For class of 2013, they did accept many WSU students but I would say at least 1/3 of the class is out of state (many Californians).

Also, I know immunology is not a pre req anymore but if you can, I recommend that you take it already so that you don't have to take it during your spring semester as a P1.

What an odd interview day.

No tour of the school. I asked several questions and was told to look at the website for answers. (I came 1500 miles, you could just give me the answer) No school information was handed out.

It was just very strange and haphazard, easily the most disorganized interview I've been on.

The students and faculty seemed very nice and the area was beautiful, but I was not impressed with the school at all.

BTW thank you for your help, i have applied a few days before the deadline. WSU is my first choice, i have been preparing myself the whole year trying to meet their pre-requisites. I'm transferring from a local CC and currently taking biochem through their DDP program. From your past experience, what is their last interview invitation date? Do you know if they are still sending out interview invitation? I will appreciate your help.

Also, after the closed-file interview, do they go back and look at the file again?

I guess the D depends on which class it is. If it's one of your science classes, I would recommend that you try to retake the class to get a higher grade.
 
WSU says they accept 94 students on their website.

PharmCas says they accepted 110 students last year.

So.. is 110 the # that were accepted, but 94 was the # that actually went?

Does anybody have any advice on what differentiates between a 'decent' interview an an 'awesome' one?
 
Is WSU out-of-state friendly? I'm from CA. Planning to apply next year. According to PharmCAS, they favor in state. But looking at AACP stats, they took 52 in state vs 39 out state, so it isn't a significant difference. What do you guys think?

Did not hear anything back yet. Was also wondering if anyone heard back any good news. Interview was pretty smooth. The faculties were really nice, but too bad there weren't any tour of the campus.

Thanks for the update, vanishel. I am assuming at this point I will not be getting an interview =(. But this forum will continue to help me for next year!! Are you from out of state? Is WSU your top choice since I see that you are looking in CA schools & have been accepted there? Congrats on having options 👍!

Not quite LissBliss, but I came out the interview with confidence. The interviewer gave me lots of compliment like you look very professional, I enjoy the conversation with you, and lastly a little unexpected; we look forward to see you again. 👍

Tips for interview: dress clean and neat, elaborate on your answer, mock interview and be confident. Good luck to those who are waiting.

Hey LissBliss, They are still sending interview e-mails. I was giving up on WSU as well. I was very surprised when i get the e-mail. So dont give up.

Congrats, KSforlife! Wow, you have been accepted to many schools! Is WSU your top choice? I am trying to figure out how many seats will be taken from out of state students for WSU. Thanks!

Congrats! Is WSU your top school? Do you think you will go there or somewhere else? Thanks for the interview tips, btw...I will use them next year hopefully since it appears I will not be getting my interview this year 🙁
