Does anyone know precisely why some people get one interview, and \others get 2?

I had mine a week ago, and someone told me that the second one is with a 'practice interviewer'. but my second one was with the associate dean of admission, someone who i doubt needs practice interviewing-- confused the heck out of me. some other people interviewed with the dean too.

they may have done your second one first.

my first interview was with amember of the admissions committee. they told me when i checked in that my second one was just going to be ' a bried interview'

On my interview day they told the people with 2 interviews that it would be very brief with someone who was inexperienced with interviewing. However, every single one of these people met with that Assistant Dean of Admissions for about 30 minutes each. It got me wondering if that second interview was really "random, and brief" or whether they specifically choose people who are more likely to be accepted. I started a poll, to help figure it out. 😀
