hi folks, its been a long time since i had a query. but now i do,
whassup with nyu advance standing program? u do 3 yrs of schooling ang then do a residency, which maked this a 4 yr course... plz clarify my doubts.

hey isnt residency only needed if you wana practice in NY state..or do u need residency throughout all North eastern states??

hey everybody. Residency is required only for NewYork state. If you complete advance standing program ( 3 years ) at NYU, you can practice in other states but if you want to practice in newyork then one year residency is compulsory. I think this will help.

The only thing I want to add to that is: after finishing the 3 year of NYU, if you decide to stay in NY, you have to do 1 year residency and upon completion of it, you are allowed to practice in NY without any regional licensing, you automatically get your licence for NY state.
Your other option is: finish 3 year NYU, go to different state, take the regional board and practice.
