Hypothetical:

The passenger next to you puts on a mask during a flight. Would you feel offended?

Note: you are the guy coughing up phlegm with snot dripping out of your nose. Also you tend not to cover your mouth when coughing.

They don't allow "those" people in first class. Step yalls game up

I rarely get offended because I couldn't care less what other people do. So, my answer is no. 🙂

No, I just would think that the mask wearer is silly unless he's wearing a respirator. Simple surgical masks are mostly for the sick people to slow their infecting of others, not for those who are avoiding it.

I think it's weird. I actually had a woman sit down next to me on one of my recent flights and take out a bag of those disinfecting wipe things and wipe down her whole "area." Every time she did something (ate dinner, went to the restroom) she would wipe down the whole area again. I especially like the restroom trip one because it was like... what did she think I did, put my hands all over her armrests, seat belt, and tray table while she was gone? 🙄

I wouldn't be offended. How do you know they don't have something themselves that they don't want to give you?

Yes, I'm talking about the type you put on before you walk into the negative airflow room with the TB or meningitis pt.

Well, I've always gotten sick after flights. I find it amazing that I never once got sick during 2 years of working at a hospital. However during this application cycle I've already gotten sick twice after flights. Enough is enough, I'm wearing a mask.

It sounds like this woman may have had a legitmate case of OCD. 🙁

+1. I could care less what a passenger next to me does. If I'm coughing up phlegm I could understand why they'd want such a mask.

And honestly aeroplane air is some of the most unclean air. So this is reasonable to me if they do such.

My professional advice is to develop a stronger immune system.

It is a good thing for a person to protect themselves but if they acted like a jerk because you are sick...screw 'em
Besides he could have busted this out on you...
