Is it worth buying the sample DAT from ADA? It says single use. Does it mean that if you had to be interrupted during it and not finish would it be a waste? Can you go back afterwards and see what you got right and wrong? Please advise.

Not entirely sure of answers to most of your questions regarding the online version, though I do believe you can in fact review post-test.

I would get the paper/mailed version (was the only option for me), eliminates any worries and provides the exact same test, assuming you have the time to wait a week or so.

How fast did you get the test mailed? My exam is next Tuesday :/
P.S. I was thinking of doing the Web-based version. It is probably most representative of the real thing.

If your test is Tuesday, then definitely do the online version unless you do overnight shipping (call ADA to confirm if it's even possible to get it to you before your exam).

The online version allows interruptions, but it does not allow you time to review your mistakes. It also doesn't tell you your subject scores on each individual section, instead it tells you the # you have correct vs the # wrong. In order to convert this to an actual DAT score you can use the 2007 ADA conversion sheet (google it).

It is fairly representative of the real thing, at least to the point that it's worth the extra cost in my opinion. See below.

Mine took at least 2 weeks to be FedEx'd. I got the paper version so I could see which specific questions I got wrong.
