ok, i just got opera. i switched over from ie, and everything's been cool but a few things. none of this is majorly important, but i just wanted to know if there was something that could be done.

when i scroll over pics, instead of getting the text that tells what the image is about, i get the link for it instead. is there anyway of changing this? i know with ie, it tells you what the image is.

another thing. i know what that the problem is with my cache. when i open up the ny times website, the page loads from my last viewing. i changed the setting in the preferences to clear cache on exit, but sometimes i just like having my opera browser up, and then just being able to press reload to get the new page. any suggestions on that?

Theres nothing you can really do about that. If you want to keep using opera, just wait until the next version comes out and hopefully they'll fix it. If you want another browser, I would recommend Firefox. I don't have any of those problems using Firefox.
