I was just curious for those that took general chem and physics quite a while ago, have any of you used live or archived webcasts to review these subjects for the MCAT? I know that MIT and UC-Berkeley has entire terms of these subjects archived so that you can watch them whenever you want and at whatever pace you want. I'm considering doing this in liu of spending lots of $$ on review courses and just wanted to get an idea from folks whether this was helpful to them. All responses are appreciated.

There are some really great resources online. One of the best I've found is actually a high school physics tutorial sight! Sounds crazy, but it really hammers down physics concepts and helps build your understanding to the crazy scenarios they present you on the mcat.

another pretty good sight with video lectures for Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, is:

And the bestttttttttt site of all for specific MCAT learning is a new site that's come up from WikiPremed. Its some professor/guy who has invested his whole life in coming up with a better way to study for MCAT (but his course materials take time to complete at a slow study pace~1 yr ideally) is...

Thanks for your response. I will be all over those links. Appreciate it. If anyone else has more info/insight, keep 'em comin'. Thanks all!!

wow HippocratesX thanks for those links! That last site looks like a great resource. Why do I always discover these things too late :D (took the mcat yesterday)

no problem:thumbup:

For the original poster, I'd like to say, don't waste too much time reviewing full lectures, unless you are really weak in that area. You'd benefit alot more by taking full-length timed physics/chemistry passages and then trying to re-do problems using different techniques and approaches. That would increase your score alot more then learning in depth about 1 particular topic. Practice makes perfect and in the MCAT's case, this can't be more true.

Oh...and one more thing that might be of help:
