from what ive gathered, the cube figures on the DATs are much easier than CDP and have little to no tricks in any of them
 
At the left part of the image, you see two cubes on top of two cubes. You have 2 of these formations on the left side = 8 cubes total in these 2 formations.
 
whats so weird about this one?

if you count from right to left going in rows, there are 2, 1, 9, 4, 2 squares
 
Judging from other threads regarding the illusion figures from Crack DAT PAT, the real DAT cube counting is much easier. I've also called the Crack DAT company and the guy told me that I probably will not see any illusions on the real DAT. They just put them in there to "train your eye."

BTW which Crack DAT PAT test did this come from? Also, what question number is it?
