In my orientation, we were also divided into groups based on major. I am molecular bio major, but I didn't tell anyone I'm pre-med. There were a couple of people who had an idea what they were doing, one was biochem, other was human anatomy, but there was one chick and guy that were a bit delusional.
The guy kept saying he is majoring in pre-med, and our advisor said u have to pick a major, so he said I know, I'm doing pre-med, it took him about 10 mins to realize pre-med is a path not a major.
The girl was a bit funnier because I was sitting right next to her. She was telling me how she is majoring in bio and was completely confident that she is going to medical school at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. I asked her wat specialty she was interested in and she told me psychiatry. I said why?, "oh because I don't like blood and I don't want to cut people open or do any procedures involving needles. Also, I think it will be really easy to get into a psychiatry program because its not as hard as other specialties and you get paid a lot to sit in a chair all day."
Never talked to her again....
