Hi! I'm not exactly sure if I should post this thread here or in the all-students forum...but I chose here instead because it's kinda related to shadowing, a bit.

So...on to the question.

Has anyone ever had a crush on or liked the doctor he/she shadowed? 😛 lol You see, I was shadowing a 1st year surgical resident a few weeks ago when I was assigned to the dept. of surgery for 7 days. (I'm in Pediatrics now.) I kinda liked the surgeon I was following. He is really nice and sweet and he has the most beautiful eyes. (He's married and has a two-year old child. Sigh. 😛) Anyway...the pediatricians I'm observing at the hospital now are getting all giggly since they found out I like him. It's nice to know that doctor or not, girls will be girls. lol 😳 I feel like a silly 15-year-old right now...😛 Anyone share the same or a similar experience?

this sounds like definite personal statement material. also, be sure to ask for a rec from one of the peds MDs.

why was this posted?
:boom:

You told pediatricians you're shadowing that you have a crush on another doctor?

No! lol One of the doctors found out (dunno how...but I think she caught on when I asked her what his complete name was yesterday...😕) then they started teasing me sorta like high school (in the office when we all took a break). I was actually quite surprised. 😛 doctors...sigh. 🙂 I didn't know I could get this experience while shadowing. Haha! 😀

As a medical student you'll inevitably have a crush (large or small) on a resident you work with or who is in the field you are rotating through. As you get to your 3rd and 4th years of medical school, you'll only be separated from these people by a few years of age or maybe none at all if you took time off after undergrad.

Attractive people are attractive.

I regret to inform you that you are the only person who has ever had a crush on the doctor that s/he is shadowing.

[Why did you post this????????]
