Where at in Illinois you from? I work at an osco and I live in illinois. I can tell you this, oscos's pay (if the store you are going to work is a union store) is crap compared to walgreens, but Osco is a friendler place I think from what I hear from walgreen's employees friends that I have.

The Osco that called me was in Deerfield. about 30 min from my house Im still decidiing it seemed like to me they were jsut saying if you call me back you got the job they didnt say anything about a interview..

You have to consider what each party wants.....each corporation wants a tech.....

You want a job & also presumable a good recommendation for later use (whether its school or another job at another time).....

When it comes to work....you must take care of yourself because no one else will.

So..given that....
1.. it doesn't look good to work for 1 month only - it appears on an application that either you couldn't get along with the people, you can't hold a job for personal reasons, or...in this case...you're willing to be "sold" to the highest bidder.

2...your current employer has already invested tremendous amount of time & energy training you in their system. Unless you want to leave your area entirely...you will be known as someone who doesn't respect the energy it takes to train a new employee.

3...of course they want you to quit your current employer....that is a conflict of interest. However...do you really dislike your current situation? How would you know if a new situation would be better....

Be cautious....we are a small pond who know each other. You don't want to diminish your reputation. Just think long about what the long term consequences will be.

Good luck!

Yeah I thought it over and I decided just to stay with Walgreens, thanks for the replies.
