Hey all,

I'm an MS3 trying to decide on a West Coast away. I want to be in academia and would like a balanced program. I'm trying to decide between UCSF, USC, Stanford, and UCSD. I know there has been some flux in the west coast programs with changes in hiring/firing people over the last couple of years. I was wondering if anyone who interviewed there/did an away there/is a resident or an attending there can chime in a little more about any information they may have. I tried to contact my medical school friends and past ortho applicants, but they had a strong east coast bias and didn't have much info.
