I was accepted to UC Davis earlier this month, and so after some debating I've decided to pass up on the Western interview. I'm pretty busy and simply don't have time to prepare for an interview when, to be honest, I personally wouldn't attend Western over Davis (for personal reasons).
But that means that maybe someone else will get to interview instead! I really hope you guys hear something tomorrow, and good luck!

When selecting your interview date one of the other questions was how many guests you would be bringing. So yes, I think you are allowed to have him there, but may want to let them know
Yayyy congrats CS!!! Sorry they're putting you in a tight spot about dates. I'm sure you'll work something out though. All those happy/positive thoughts paid off 🙂
Also, general question: If we are not given an interview and therefore are rejected from the program this year will we be notified as soon as the committee decides not to offer the interview or are we just kept in limbo until March or whenever they offer spots?

Did anyone get an email saying their application has been returned from the admissions committee but the admissions counselors now need to deterimine their eligibility? I have never received an email like that before....
It sounded promising, but I don't know what to think either =/

No idea. I thought they were supposed to determine our eligibility before it goes to the ad com.
Keep your head up wildowl, you are most likely still in review and will receive the email we received very soon! We got this! =)
Hey guys! Same situation as you all, they have to verify that I satisfied the prerequisites, however at the end of the letter it said: "Congratulations on making it to the next step of the process" so I am taking it as good news 😀

I think the e-mail asking about your pre-requisites is definitely a good thing. I got an e-mail concerning my pre-reqs a couple of days ago to confirm that my university used my AP scores to grant me credit for an English class. I sorted it out and got my interview invite the next day! I am super excited. Good luck to everyone waiting!!

Same here, I was asked if I was going to take a pre-req during Spring, and was granted an interview the following day.
They did the same thing with me a few days ago and I just got an interview email. As far as I know it's a good thing! 🙂 Good luck!
Is having a hold the same thing as determining eligibility? My app's still on hold and I haven't heard anything :/
Yes, don't worry. Look at the 2016 thread, interview invites were going out all the way to February 21st.

Yes I think they're sending invites out, I've heard they take longer than other schools. Also I'm not quite sure what the difference is between being on hold and being verified. I have a feeling that after verifying eligibility they can either put me on hold or invite for interview so I'm guessing verification comes before? No idea 😕 Just trying to stay positive, good luck everyone 😀
I'm in the same boat. A little scared. It's true that they take longer than other vet schools though since they take everything into consideration for each application and not just the grades. I can see why that would take more time.
