Hello! I'm applying this year to the MSMS program and would love to hear about anyone else applying!

on the interview information document it states that we would receive decision letters 2 weeks after interviewing. I see that many others in previous years did not get their decision letters until April. Does anyone have information abut this?

When I interviewed in November they said that we’d get a decision by mid January-due to the holidays. But Idk, I also saw from previous years that it could be sent out after the app deadline

I was also told I would hear back by mid-January. I guess we will find out in the next week or two. Best of luck to everyone 😊

This is strange - when we interviewed last week, our group was told that we had to wait until March/April because they had to finish interviews with all candidates before finalizing decisions? They told us to be "patient with them." But, also so confused because the applications stated they were rolling admissions???

+1 interviewed in November. Was told we would hear back first two weeks of Jan. I probably will call them next week if there is no news this week.

If you call please update us with what they say, I’m hoping they send decisions by the end of this week 🙏🏽
I called today. Seems like it was a false promise. They said regardless of interview groups, decisions won’t be out until after they have conducted all interviews, and admissions said that is around March. Pretty much how it was the past years so I don’t hold out hope that we’ll hear back anytime soon 🥲 Pretty sure last year people didn’t hear back until April.

Thank you for this update! I’ll be anxious until April 😅

I have my interview on February 4th. I would appreciate any tips or pointers. It's my first and only interview for a SMP this cycle. Does anyone know if my odds of getting accepted into this program are decent? I am currently enrolled at a community college retaking the pre-med prerequisite courses in hopes of giving my overall and science GPA a slight bump. Any advice would be nice so I can have an idea of whether or not I should drop these courses.

Hope it went well!

I am thinking about shooting an app before the deadline this Friday. I have all my materials but would anyone recommend it or should I just hold off? I am a Nevada applicant but from California and have an interest in the DO program! I just found out about the program today.

When I went to preview day, they said it takes (if i remember correctly) 2 weeks to get the app processed. So, if you think you’ll get it in to meet that 2 week deadline, then go for it. I’d reach out to admissions to double check though, just so you don’t waste any money. Goodluck!

I applied last year but FWIW I submitted my application the day it was due and got accepted, and that was after a deadline extension. We only did two interviews in March/April though and from what I heard, never have done interviews as early as your cohort has. So take it with a grain of salt.

I recently submitted my application a few weeks ago and was invited to interview! When looking at past years, it seemed that people had to undergo two interviews. With the email I received though, it didn’t mention this being a first or “pre-interview” so I’m assuming we only need to do one interview? Has anyone this cycle undergone two interviews?

Also, in the email they mentioned it being a 2-hour interview, but the time block says it’s from 9am-5:20pm. Is this actually an all-day interview? I’m trying to figure out how many hours I need to take off of work. Thank you :O

The interview is very chill. Don't worry. Two people will be interviewing you. It was a very short interview. It wasn't formal. They want to see who you are as a person. It lasted about two hours for everything. They will be emailed a decision in late March or early April. From what I remember, it was about 5 or 6 questions.

I agree with the above comment about it being casual. When I interviewed, we were each given a 30 minute slot to interview separately. I unfortunately got one of the last slots lol so my interview time was later in the afternoon, joined zoom @ 8 am. I ended up calling off for the whole day due to that, goodluck! You got this 😊

Hey guys I have an interview as well! I know some people were saying there's a student Q and A after the interview. I know this part is not mandatory, and I have work later during the day do you guys think it would lower my chances of admission if I missed the student Q and A part since it's not mandatory in order to commute to work or should I take the whole day off to be safe?

I don’t think they take attendance for the student panel. Up to you tbh. Good place to ask students about the program. The faculty leave so it’s confidential and a safe space

just interviewed today, they said to expect to hear back about admissions decisions by april at the latest, i’m hoping for the best!! 😭

I didn’t go to the student Q and A part though because I feel that I already had my questions answered at the recent preview day the campus hosted. I also agree with @PremedCloud that skipping it wouldn’t impact their admissions decision at all.

Okay thank you guys so much! Hope we all get the decisions we want, thank you guys for your help.

was this past tuesday the last interview they’re holding?

Hi hi I interviewed in January!! I hope your interview went well and crossing my fingers for you!

Hopefully decisions will roll out before end of April. I wonder if COMP will reach out via email or phone call?

Seems like it would be a call according to the email. Has anyone gotten this call already? Also the email says “may”… does that mean not receiving a call is a bad sign? Haha im stressed 😫

Hello, i’ve received an email from my desired pipeline. I scheduled a 30 minute zoom meeting with them for this final “interview/talk”. Wishing you all the best of luck! I’m super nervous and have no idea what to expect during this meeting.
Thank you for reporting back! I wish you best of luck as well. Hoping we all get the invitation soon from our desired pipeline 🤞🏻

I’m a bit worried this may mean that not everyone receives an invitation for another interview/call. Might ask tomorrow.

in the email it says: “If you have not yet received this call, please be on the lookout for it.”

I interpreted this as anyone who got the email should expect a call, but you’re right maybe this was just a mass email and doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll all get one.

I'm going to be optimistic and lean on your interpretation rather than mine! Perhaps everyone who got the email will get the call, indeed.

Good luck to us all!

If we didn’t get that follow up email does that mean we will most likely not get a call or anything? Now I’m scared !!

Best of luck!! Maybe it's something more casual to get to know you?? You got this!

Maybe it depends on your desired pipeline?? Seems like they're still rolling things out slowly?
