My application is complete as of 2/13. I also found out today, via email, that I've been admitted to Touro-Nevada M.S. Medical Health Sciences program. Both are great from what I can see and its nice to know that I'll be somewhere this fall...

Have any of you heard anything from Western? I've been checking my application status and it doesn't indicate if my application is under review, has been forwarded to the committee or anything. It looks like there are two more interview dates in April (13th and the 20th). If I don't get in here, I'll be happy to attend Touro-Nevada MSMHS but the scholarship that Western offers for the MSMS plus the $5,000 less in tuition than TUN made the school an attractive option....

I had my app complete on 12/14 and still haven't heard anything. I know they changed the interview date though because originally they said there was one on 3.23 but I guess it's been pushed back. I applied to Tuoro also thinking I'd get a little help being a local kid but got denied flat out...very quickly though so at least there's that?
Did you apply to Touro Nevada and get denied? Apply at Touro-California; application review date is 1-May. Downside is that they only take like 10 to 15. I was waitlisted by them last year and literally no movement occured from the waitlist.

My application was complete about 2 weeks ago also and i haven't heard anything either. So will there be no interviews for March? I got accepted to Barry and im waiting to see if western will give me an interviewbefore making a decision .

My application status has not changed since last week (still at "App Materials Received), has not heard from admission either... I guess they did take out the interview date in March - only showing April 13 and 20th on their website now.
I just heard from the admissions department today. My app was forwarded to Julie Smith and she will be processing the app from now on. I'd suggest you guys email EDS to find out where you are in the process.

Cool I'll email EDS today. Yeah I applied to Touro NV and got denied. So far I got into UMDNJ and wait listed at Midwestern in Glendale. Let me know if you decide to come to Touro and have any questions about living in Vegas and I'd be happy to answer them for you!
I appreciate that! I am sure that I'll have plenty of questions should I decide that Touro is for me.

Hey, I just found out about MSMS today, Do you know Since I applied to their dental school this year, If they can use my information from that application for MSMS program, I mean If they still need my letter of rec or transcript, and Do you think does it worth applying right before the deadline?

Hey, thanks 🙂 I had an awesome experience on interview day. There were 15 of us (everyone invited for that day showed up); about 1/3 were from out of state. The interview part was pretty much standard-- there were no outrageous questions. They had MSMS alumni and current students talk to us and answer our questions, which was pretty cool and helpful. Everybody on campus was so friendly! Just a tip to the girls: wear comfy shoes because we did a lot of walking back and forth along the campus strip. Good luck to all that applied! I would recommend asking Jodi Olson ([email protected]). She's the MSMS program director and SUPER friendly and helpful! 🙂 There are also admission counselors who you can ask. I've been in communication with Julie Smith and she's quick to respond, as well as very helpful.
Hopefully you can just have them transfer your LOR/transcript from the dental program (since it takes a while for those items to be processed after you send them personally). All items need to be received before the deadline :/ If you can get everything in on time, I think it's definitely worth applying to the program--especially since it looks like they pushed back the interview dates to April.

Hey guys,
I've applied for this year as well. I'm an international student and I'm still waiting for them to update my materials list. My senior project advisor sent in a recommendation for me as well as my old lab boss and advisor from my university in the USA. They received confirmation emails that its been received but I haven't seen anything updated. Also Josef Silny (the evaluting company for foreign credentials) mailed my evaluation since last week monday and i havent seen any update.
I know they would likely be experiencing a high volume of mail but March 1st is so close! I submitted the application in early January. I hope to hear from them soon.
Also, I wonder how they would do interviews for international student. Two weeks is not enough to book a ticket under $700. (I'm in the caribbean btw and you MUST book early for a cheap enough flight)
Anyone else ripping their hair out to see if they get invited? My MCAT isn't the best but my GPA and experience are above decent

Trying not to think about it too much but I am getting antsy. I would probably be more antsy if I hadn't gotten into Touro-Nevada but Western is my first choice...

Has anyone been accepted? I was at the interview on February 15th and just heard back last week that I'm on hold for now. I'm hoping to hear back soon and get accepted. I was really impressed with the school and the program.

Does hold mean they still deciding on you? I'm still waiting for an interview. Last year over three hundred applied. I wonder what this year's statistics are
Yeah on hold just means they haven't made a decision yet. I'm not sure when they will but they said they will update me monthly. I would assume that once they do another round of interviews they will send our more acceptances but I don't know when the next round of interviews are.

Yeah they changed interviews from march to April 13 and 20. So maybe you might hear about it in march. I wonder why they don't have march interviews though. That's a whole month and a half of racking my brains

Yeah they seem really slow. Maybe it's a limited set of workers and hundreds of applications. They updated my material check list like 2 weeks after the things arrived. I had to email somebody else just to find out.

Oh dang. Well my MCAT isn't the best but my gpa and experience are better than average but not like on a genius level. Now I'm worried. I went on the tour today, it was really nice. Trying not to worry

OH, well good news you have somewhere to go potentially. I only applied to this one, so I'm like walking on a tight rope.
I've heard good things about Stratford and RWJ. I think RWJ has some sort of guaranteed admissions linkage with their MBS program. In any case, congrats on getting in and I wish you well!

I just got an email for an interview on the 20th of April. Yaye! Can anyone be more specific about the actual interview?
Also, do you think schools would change interview dates that clash with religious commitments? I'm not sure if I would be able to attend on Saturdays but I don't want it to count against me. I have till Friday to reply. Any advice appreciated!
