The year 2020 started with:

-the Soleimani killing
-people fearing getting drafted into WWIII
-the Wuhan coronavirus (which I still believe was made in the lab...)
-Step 1 changing to P/F, causing the DO world into a frantic frenzy
-The Great Mayo Clinic Massacre of 2020

and it's only February. Can't wait to see what's next!

What is the mayo clinic incident you mentioned? I haven't heard anything about that. I do however live under a rock.

The Minnesota campus basically accepted everyone who interviewed (~300) and only found out of their error by looking at all suspicious acceptances on sdn. They then sent a rather unapologetic email rescinding the offers. Big Yikes

Wow! That's messed up. At least when Penn State did it they offered people scholarships to defer to the next year and when Touro-NY did it they offered a lot of the people money to go to Middletown (but they also tried rescinding offers and adding in caveats to onboarding, but folded after the backlash).

I've sat in enough of our Micro lectures to know that viruses jump from animal to human hosts all the time. Why are you indulging yourself in conspiracy theories? Does it make you feel less powerless in a random world where a bat at a exotic food market can eventually kill some 1-2000 people?

Woah relax chief, it's just my own belief at the moment. Truth is no one knows for sure. The chinese government isn't even reporting accurate data regarding infection rates and deaths so there's alot up in the air. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. No need to make a mountain out of a molehill.

They never do.

Haha @ bolded. That’s one of my favorite lines.

Just FYI - people who feel less control over their lives / the world are more likely to buy into conspiracy theories.

I haven’t looked too much into it but Mayo didn’t over enroll, they accidentally accepted.
