Does anyone know how your student loans work if you decide to do a residency for a year or two after completing the PharmD program?

With the mega-loans I plan on taking out , I don't see how I could ever do a residency unless they postpone or reduce the initial payments.

depending on the side of your loan and the pay during residency, you may be eligible for economic hardship deferment on your federal loans. You'll need to google the eligibility criteria on your own. Although I think it's something like: "if your monthly payment is more than 20% of your gross income" or something like that.
