Did any one see the number of posts the pre-dental & dental moderator (Dr Richard R Scherf) has ? He couldn't have been very helpful with those kinda numbers. It makes me think..... it doesnt really take a lot to be a moderator, does it ?

where it says URL for custom AVATAR, you put in the URL of a picture on the net that you want as your avatar, and presto, new avatar!

Dr. Scherf's title is moderator...not advocate, commentator, advisor, judge, mediator, abrbitrator etc. The primary task of a moderator is to help insure debates run in a fair and orderly fashion. Good moderators must show a lot of self descipline by not letting themselves get personally involved in the debates.

By the same definition I'd say there are many threads in this very forum that ought not to be here. So Iam guessing too much restraint & self discipline is not always a good thing.

The one I previously had was a cartoon bunny ( animated ).

I'll be leaving for SF around the first week of June. Lotsa things to be done yet ( which also includes housing ). Hopefully it'll all get done before school begins.

Although I like to have a Moderator that more interactive such as Kimberly Cox and some others in this SDN thing, I'm sure Dr. Scherf is watching over us behind the scenes! At least our posts and threads won't be modified or moved into the lounge if it's inappropriate based on Dr. Scherf's activities!!!
