I am in the process of applying for medical schools and I am having trouble figuring out what schools to apply too. My MCAT score isn't as strong as my GPA and most schools I'm looking at have a GPA average around the same as mine or bellow but a higher MCAT average. I have a lot of clinical and volunteer experience interning at a medical nonprofit. DO you think it would be unrealistic to have UCLA and UCSF as my top choices?

What are your EC's and what is your race

I'm white and a california resident who currently goes to UCSB.
my extracurriculars:
Intern for a nonprofit that provides medical care to the homeless (I put in 10+ hours a week)
I also volunteer for that nonprofit as a scribe and as an EMT
I am EMT certified
I have worked in a neurobiology lab for the last two years
I am president of the largest pre-health organization at UCSB
last year I was head of public relations for the same pre-health organization
I volunteer at an elementary school with children who have learning disorders
I just got a job as a scribe in the emergency room ( basically a secretary for the ER docs and you follow them around all day)
I've shadowed many doctors and volunteered at low income clinics
I've TAed an underserved medicine course at UCSB

I think you have a shot at both ucla and ucsf assuming it's a balanced 32.

12 physical science
11 biological science
9 verbal.

And thank you for the response!
