I'm hypothesizing that the more interviews I have, the greater my chances are of getting an acceptance somewhere. I've gotten 5 interview invites so far. So what do you think are my chances? Does anyone know by how much my chances will increase with each additional interview?

I have no idea, but the most important thing is that you only need ONE acceptance! I think your chances are ok, but the probability gets screwy after the interview.

For example, if you apply to 30 schools, I would say you would have a high probability of getting a lot of interviews.

But let's say you are a bad interviewer...more of them won't increase your chances in that case. On the other hand, if you get better with each interview, then your chances will go up.

As you can see, it is a crapshoot and 5 is a solid number. My friend had 5, got in to albany and is happy.

I have 2 and I'm worried. But I only want ONE acceptance to make me happy :p

Good luck to you! Your screen name makes me hungry
