Hey guys! So I'm applying this cycle and I have everything ready but I am not sure what schools I am capable of getting accepted into. Here are my scores:

DAT:
BIO 19
GC 23
OC 25
PAT 22
RC 18
QR 17
AA 20
TS 21

GPA: 3.4
Science GPA: 3.6

I have over 100+ hours of shadowing and I started assisting an Oral surgeon this summer. I volunteered to tutor chemistry for an 1 hr/week for about a month. I have a lot of other community service hours too. I also have an officer position at my schools Pre-dental society.

The schools I am applying to for sure are:
UF
NOVA
UNC
LSU

I am more interested in schools on the east coast.
What other schools should I apply to with a chance of getting accepted?

Thank you!

The thing is with Boston University and Tufts is that they both don't accept AP/IB credits as prerequisites, which I have from my high school for Bio 1 and gen chem 1 :/

Did you take any upper-level courses? I'm fairly certain you can get out of the basic pre-reqs if you take upper-level courses at college to prove your proficiency in those subjects.

Yes I did, I took Cell biology, Zoology and Embryology. Also Microbiology and Biochemistry with both labs.

Do you think I should add Upenn and Colombia to my list? I am still at 5 schools.

So I think you should e-mail BU and TUSDM and ask them if those substitutions are approved for Bio 1 and Chem 1. If they are, then add BU and TUSDM.

See the statistics below for UPenn and Columbia from their websites. I think you have a better shot at UPenn than Columbia. If I were in your shoes, could afford the application fee, and I wanted an Ivy, I'd add UPenn definitely. Columbia is up to you.

Re. UPenn
"The average scores for the August 2014 incoming class were as follows: mean overall G.P.A. of 3.67, mean science G.P.A. of 3.62, mean DAT academic of 21, the mean DAT PAT of 21, mean DAT reading comprehension of 21, and mean DAT total science of 21. - See more at: http://www.dental.upenn.edu/academi...m/dmd_program_admissions#sthash.ytPqMyWI.dpuf"

Re. Columbia
"The average GPA of the 2012-13 enrollees is 3.6....
We have no minimum or cut-off scores. The mean DAT score of the class entering in 2012 was 23, (the national average is roughly 18); however, the range varies from year to year."
