College Athlete with solid EC's and solid shadowing/volunteering.

I have not taken the MCAT yet.

What are my chances for UAB or South Alabama?
Thanks!

Probably pretty good for S Alabama with an MCAT score of 29+. And for UAlabama, as well, if your MCAT score is correspondingly stronger than their average (30.6) to compensate for your somewhat lower-for-their-maticulant-average cGPA (3.76). An excellent final semester GPA would be very helpfull. If your ECs are sterling, that can help compensate for slightly lower numbers, too. Do you have research, leadership, nonmedical community service, and/or teaching?

One summer of diabetes research, over 100 hours shadowing, over 100 hours community service. Being an athlete, I did not have a lot of time for excess EC, but they are solid considering time restrictions.
