What are my chances for neurology, as an IMG?

Hello, I am an IMG graduated October 2018.
My step 2ck: 253, step 1: 247 both 1st attempt. I am doing a volunteer postdoctoral research in neurology at a university hospital. Planning to take step 2cs in a few months and step 3 a few months after. Will be applying for neurology next year. Please share your advice, experiences and suggestions.

Should be fine.
That's a killer step score for Neuro, which is actually quite easy to get.

You'll be red flagged surely for being IMG at some places, but at others shouldn't be an issue.
Apply broadly.

Anecdotal, but I am rotating with residents from a university program on a medicine service right now & 2 of them were IMGs. One matched psych & the other matched neuro.

Hey those are great score i am an IMG finished Step 1, Step 2 CS, studying for CK now 3m usce i'm planning to apply for Neuro next year as well. I plan on doing some observerships this year and volunteer at hospitals, i think the most important thing for neuro is showing dedication to the field and getting some publications do it any way you can. Hopefully i can find externships/observerships at programs that have a Neuro Residency. All the best.
