what are my chances? should i retake?

Hey Guys,

Here are my credentials, just wanna know what my chances are at NJ schools and schools in tri state area. I am a NJ resident.

3.976 GPA
31Q MCAT (9 PS, 10 V, 12 BS)
Extensive Shadowing experience
3 years of research in cell biology lab
President of Pre med organization
Member of Pre med fraternity
anticipating great letters of rec

looking to apply to NJMS, Robert Wood Johnson, NYU, Drexel, and other schools in my area.

what you guys think? what are my chances and should i retake mcat? (just worried about retaking and having to submit amcas too late) if i dont retake i will submit amcas june 1st.

I wouldn't retake with your GPA.

If you're aiming for tri-state's top 20 (or any top 20), retake if you're sure you can improve to a 35+, but don't wait to submit AMCAS.

I would not retake unless you KNOW you can do 3+ points better....

How about clinical volunteering?
