What Are My Chances? Western University of Health Sciences, CA

I was just wondering if anyone knows whether Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine is OOS friendly? I am a Canadian student with a cGPA of 3.8 and DAT AA score of 21.

If you look at their website, you’ll see that 23/69 seats are taken by OOS students. I wouldn’t consider that particularly OOS unfriendly. You definitely have the stats to get in.

You should be fine. People with lower than your stats gets accepted tbh.

Current student at WesternU here, Not sure why you would say "why western". I've been having an amazing time here and all of my classmates would say the same. I have friends that go to other dental schools and they are constantly complaining so why would you put western down? Do you know what it's like to be a student here?

Well for one, there are much cheaper schools that OP could likely get into.

Lots of people with higher stats than OP's have gotten rejected as well. I know there are a lot of factors that go into acceptances. Since there are so many competitive applicants now, I think it helps to not have that mentality. I thought the same, but still never even received an interview from Western.

I'd actually argue against this only because OP is Canadian. While yes 23/69 were OOS, I don't know if it was published how many of those were Canadian/International.

There you go ^ Canadians will be counted as internationals. Unfortunately Western didn't say how many they interviewed :/ Just be careful of where you apply to OP! @CanadianGurl had success this cycle, maybe she can point you in the right direction!
