Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any insight to this situation.

08/16/2013 PS 6 VR 9 BS 9 (24)

I'm not going to take the MCAT again. I know that I should . . .

I am aware that schools use composite scores.

Is there any chance that my 9-7 and 8-16 scores could be considered a "27" by a forgiving/lenient admissions officer?

I've applied to both MD and DO colleges yesterday, for the 2015 cycle.

Do I have a chance for any FL MD schools, as a FL resident?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Unfortunately I think your chances are essentially nil at MD programs, and even at DO programs your MCAT scores are really doing you in.

I haven't heard of any schools adding individual section scores together.

Unfortunately being a resident doesn't mean the state school will automatically lower their acceptance standards because you have to remember students from other schools are applying with stellar stats and ECs.

With that being said, your only chance is at some newer DO programs in my opinion. If you want MD you need to go to carribean schools.

Good luck!!
