I want to know where I should be applying. I have a 3.99 GPA. 515 MCAT. Female. White. No gap year. 2 leadership roles. scribe. extensive volunteering in hospital. research in psychology lab. bio TA. CNA in nursing home. athletic tutor. I'm from MA. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Applying this coming June.

You have a great shot at UMass and honestly any other school. Where do you want to go?

Have you heard of the MSAR published by the AAMC? That should help ya!

Yeah I've heard of MSAR. I don't think it's super helpful, because it just tells you GPA/MCAT range, but it doesn't tell you what happens if you have a low MCAT and a high GPA. I feel like it has very limited data in that aspect. And I have no idea where I want to go. I was hoping MSAR could help me differentiate the schools and shed light on which ones I would be happy going to, but I feel more confused than ever. Thanks for the tip about Umass though!

I agree. MSAR doesn't help folks with a high gpa and low MCAT ... but you don't have a low MCAT. Your MCAT IS 93rd percentile. Certainly not low.

Other can give better advice on here but pick a handful of top 20 schools where your MCAT is below the median and then compile the rest of your list with schools where you're at or above the medium. You have plenty of options.

Thank-you for your thoughtful advice. Good luck to you as well.
