White male, currently an undergrad at a CUNY college.

Chemistry, BS
sGPA: 3.89, cGPA: 3.91
Mcat: 514 (127/130/128/129)

Clinical volunteering ~ 150 hours at a hospital over the past year

Non clinical volunteering: 260 hours volunteering for New York Cares, 50 hours as a peer mentor

Shadowing: 48 hours shadowing orthopedic surgeon, 24 hours primary care physician

Work experience: 50 hours tutoring pre calculus in the mathematics department

Other: first generation college student, can speak italian fluently

I’m interested in knowing if you think I have a chance of getting into medical school in New York, specifically:

Cornell
Hofstra
Stony brook
Albert Einstein
New York medical college

You could receive interviews at those schools but you should apply more broadly. Consider adding these schools:

you need to get some clinical experience in direct patient care. At least a few hundred hours. also, if you can find some research experience, it would be very helpful as well.
