I am a chemical engineering graduate from U of Toronto. I recently decided I should give it a shot at American schools since I have no way in hell applying to Canadian schools. I have a very low GPA from Toronto so I took an extra year at another university in Ottawa and got a GPA of 3.7. Overall my GPA is now 2.97 in AADSAS. I plan to do the American DAT mid Sept. I did the Canadian one before and I got AA17 PAT19 Reading19 Carving20. Currently, I am working full time job as a project manager, so doing all this on top of my job is tough.

I am very worried about my GPA though. However, I did see some people who were accepted at NYU and other schools with GPAs that low.

Just wanted your thoughts on what my chances are?? Should I do a masters or do more undergrad?? I am at a point where I would do anything to up my chances. :scared:

So i just wanted to let you know that i read almost every single thread on SDN and based on what i read i will tell u never loose hope.

This is my advice for you:
Usually whoever applies late are those who have great DAT scores and GPA's. So in order to have a chance you should have applied very early in june. So now you saying you are taking the DAT in september and it takes about a week or 2 for schools to receive your scores what makes a bit late and with a low GPA i dont think you have good chances so take it from a friend and dont waste your money for this cycle. Study hard and improve your GPA also do well on you DAT 19 and 20 and apply early next cycle and you should be fine .

P.S it is just an advice and thats what i would do if i was in your spot but the last decision is urs best luck
