Hey ladies and gents, I was just wondering how my application is shaping up and if you see any room for improvement. Thnx!!

I have a 4.0 cGPA and a 4.0 sGPA. I have well over 100 hours each of clinical volunteering, non-clinical volunteering, and shadowing. I have participated in many athletic and other extracurricular activities while in school, with good longevity for all. I have three really great LORs, from two science professors and one non-science professor. My school really doesn't have any research going on. Of course, I haven't taken the MCAT yet; that will probably happen in the early spring of 2015. Anyway, I'm just wondering where I should apply to go to college?

you will need to have your mcat score to see where you should apply to college. Or at least have the average of your practice mcat scores

It's way too early to post a thread about your chances but you're on the right track.

it sure would be nice if there was a place for requests exactly like this one

You should totally start a thread devoted to people just like you. It's true that there's not even a class of 2019 thread yet, but when did that ever stop an enterprising freshman pre-med with a 4.0? A class of 2020 thread might just be what SDN needs right now! Just think about all the ophtho jokes..

Until you get your MCAT score you can look though a copy of the MSAR (Medical School Admission Requirements) in your prehealth advising office or the reference section of the library to learn about various schools. School choices are generally made by comparing both GPA and MCAT score to the median stats for those accepted to each school to be sure you're close to the ballpark of what they're looking for. The book also has each school's Selection Factors and % of acceptees with community service, research, and medically-related work, among lots of other interesting information.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up with a 2310 on the SAT and I recently decided to attend Harvard University for undergrad, starting in the fall!. I was a bit confused when I first posted on here... I'll be back in a few years with another 'WAMC?' thread, but based on my future college work.

Lol, didn't know colleges asked for sGPA separately.
