Still can't shake the hope that I just submitted the last piece of paperwork I will ever have to submit for vet school apps. Come on St. George :xf:
 
I totally just read through the lounge's (ENTIRE) WW from today. :corny:

They are brutal over there (And some of them are either really dense or they really need to read the friggin thread....)

They need to read the thread.
Many are popping in, skimming then adding to the craziness rather than being productive.

I don't understand that ****e at all.... I was trying to keep as quiet as possible about my role - did not do me any good, but D4L never shuts the feck up and a few others are not far behind. I tried to give as little info as possible to just get what I needed. UGH! Fun to watch it play out, but really want to smack someone. :laugh:

The way the leaders control everyone's opinions like sheep is so different from vet WW.
And then all the infighting. I'm kinda glad I have a minor role.

Yeah it is definitely much harder to play normally in the lounge game....if you don't reveal to someone you are toast as they lynch you, but if you do and you have an integral role you are toast because the wolves eat you. lose lose. :laugh:

Just got done with work 🙁 I hate being called in for emergency on my days off. But I get paid overtime when they do it, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Had so much caffeine so I could work quickly, now I won't be able to get to sleep. And I have to work again in 5 hours. :bang: And bar is closing soon, so will probably just go to the laundromat for the internets. 🤣

I might as well be 'productive' for the next 4 hours, instead of flopping back and forth in bed, not sleeping.

E: Also, roommate works at said bar, in the kitchen. I walked into the bar, he was having his after work drink. First thing he says to me is, You Stink! and held his nose 🤣 That's dairy for ya!
 
Waiting for the program reps to come check me out so I can move to my new place.

They said 11:15/11:30, but they were really late coming to check me in so we'll see how that works out.
 
I did the last Dance Mom marathon. Probably six hours of it. :laugh:

My mom and I miss our pups so we walked down to an NYC dog park. We were standing at the fence stalking cute dogs and fittingly deemed ourselves peTophiles.

I gave my dog a bath, picked her up some food, and now since it is so hot outside I really want to take her to the lake, but I don't want to give her a bath again. Maybe fetch will be find.
 
I am bored, but I also don't really feel like doing anything...

I feel like I am the only one on here at this time at night too.

I should also give my cat a bath because we had to put a bunch of skin glue over where she got her microchip because she is a brat and can't hold still so the microchip just barely went under her skin and we didn't want it to fall back out. But I don't feel like bathing the cat at 9PM.

Ok... back to being bored.

I think I need a drink....

This is exactly where I am, with this mindset, every night at this time. It feels like you, me and wldlfstdnt are the only west coasters.
 
I think the south is under represented a lot too. When I was on interviews, everyone was from Cali I felt like. There are very few southerners on SDN. PP, bearby, Abbercadaver, and I are holdin it down for everyone (and whoever else I missed... Had one too many Hoegaardens sorry) 😉

But there is a Cali contingent. I am Cali now but grew up in MN.

I feel like I'm alone sometimes but DVM is always around when I am.
 
Just got done cleaning up all the cat vomit in my room.....

Took her with me to work today so she could get her vaccines and microchip in preparation to get her over to Scotland. She is HORRIBLE at the vet. Think wrap kitty in burrito and do the Kitty Smack-down. She hisses, growls, flips around and turns into the biggest brat ever. She is fine up until you have to poke her or actually do something. You can look at her teeth, open her mouth, do a complete physical exam (minus touching her back feet) but as soon as the needles come out or the thermometer comes near..it is like a switch goes off and she goes bat **** crazy.

So I get her home and put her in my room to calm down and eat something since she was at work with me all day and would not drink or eat. So she was very hungry and gorged on her food. I left to go to dinner with family and when I came back there was vomit all over my bedroom floor. I guess that is her way of getting me back....

I'm from the south! I do go to school in NY though, and I'm currently in Ireland, so...not sure that helps you much.

This sounds like my cat getting microchipped. The vet actually had to poke her twice because she would not sit still long enough for her to get the needle in and insert the microchip and nobody had thought to have skin glue ready (had no idea how she was going to be--first time I had taken her to the vet), so we had to run and get that and try again. And then as soon as we were done and she was over her screaming and wiggling and being a pain in the ass, she tried to cuddle up with everyone and be her general sweetheart self.
