I couldn't even do a 5k. I struggle with a mile of running.

PP, this is totally me! I am doing a 5k in September...... I swear I am going to the gym today.

I was just told that I can bring my dog to the school gym, which means I don't have to bring her home after class and then be too lazy to go back to campus to work out. I can just to the gym right after class every day because I don't have to work during the week. Woohoo. I want to do a 5k next year, so I gotta work on it!

I think people don't realize how easy running us to adapt to. I am NOT a natural runner but if I can do it pretty much anyone can lol

I tried. I really did. But I sucked.

You could.... you just have to train for one... if you stick with the training you could definitely do one.... the training is the hardest part and then it is all mental.
👍

....I'm going to ignore the dirty version of her post and continue with this one. I've ALWAYS wanted to do an ironman. Taught myself to run, natural swimmer, and trying really hard to like cycling. 2013 or 2014 ftw!

Yes - you can do it! it just takes 9 months of solid training on a schedule and you are golden - and you have to sign up a year in advance, so that always puts a nice fire under your arse....

I am definitely going to work on my running. But I am super awful at it. I cannot control my breathing, even when I try. It is sad.

Have you tried one of the couch to 5k apps? They can be really helpful.

I am relatively new to running, just for a year or so. But I try not to focus on my breathing at all. I count my steps, focus on the movement of my hips etc

I don't count stops I count steps lol

I just got one of those apps for my iPhone. Let's see if that helps.

I admire the work ethic... but I don't understand what you would do with her while you work out? Is she chill enough to just snooze while you're on the elliptical or something?

Couch-5K plans are great! Anyone can go out and start pounding the pavement, but learning to enjoy running and build longterm fitness without injury is more difficult.

Yea, she's used to being tied down and sleeping. I will probably be bringing one of her toys, too. There are some really quiet corners, so that's where I'll be going.

Listening to Phantom of the Opera soundtrack 😀 I REALLY want to see it live sometime.

Cramming for this morning's biochem final. Ugh. The pathways just do not want to stick in my head. Wish me luck!

Going to see my old vet clinic this morning. Too bad it's for another culture/ sensitivity. :poke:

I discovered Jigsaw World on Facebook earlier this week. Yeeaahh... I am SO addicted to it already! 😀 So much variety! The only downside: You get so engrossed in it, you don't realize just how much time has passed!!

Me too! It is one of my favorites!

I never cared for it before, but now absolutely love it. It was amazing.

But my favorite is still the Lion King in Germany in the lion head stage on the water! That was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The costumes, the singing, just everything. I hope I can go again someday.

I think my all time favorite would be the Pajama Game but that could be because of what happened during the show. They had all of these remote control props that zoomed on and off stage. Well one of them hit one of the main actresses and they had to stop the show while she got stitches backstage. No one in the audience knew what happened. They just turned the lights on and closed the curtain. Everyone started getting antsy and some started getting angry. They sent Harry Conick Jr (he was the male lead) out to calm the crowd. He took questions from the audience and I got to talk to him! I even made him laugh.

Ok you guys. I'm going to look at a couple of places today but both of the places that responded today are living with doods. That I don't know...... So if I stop posting it's because I was murdered and my body is in their closet 😀

The first guy was weird. I guess he was nice enough be he was acting awkward and was older wanting to rent his rooms to college students so that's looking like a no go lol

Yeah, I vote avoid weird older men.

My friend talked to a 60 year old guy about renting her room, but it didn't work out. Apparently he was really rude and just not comfortable to be around. She said she thought about sending him over to me as a joke, but nuh uh. No thanks.

Trying to read a review article on the research I'm supposed to be starting soon...

Planning a holiday to Galway with my older dog - been researching the details and trying to decide on dates.....it will be for 3 nights most likely one week in August. We will stay at a B&B and all the events I do have to be dog friendly as he must come along - so we will be pretty much just exploring the city and the countryside, the beaches and everything in between. It will be just me and him... should be interesting and I hope an adventure... 🙂

WHY am I still awake?
I'm completely exhausted and just too tired and lazy to take my dogs out before bed. So I'm just sitting here procrastinating and trying to keep my eyes open 🙄😴
