Hey Everyone,
Im getting ready to register for the spring semester. Just thought it would be fun to post our schedules to see if anyone is in the same boat.
Im taking:
Monday - Pre Cal w/Trig 6-8:40
Tuesday - Human Anatomy w/lab 5-9:40
Wednesday - MacroEconomics 6-8:40
Thursday - Chem II w/lab 5-9:40

Thats 14 credits with two labs..Just taking the basic courses. I work durning the day so I have to go to school at night for now 🙂

I graduate after next semester. It'll be a light course load since it's mostly leftovers that need to be completed. 👍

Yeah, but I had some problems with schedule request, so as of now I am not scheduled for it. Hopefully I'll be able to get in after the purge date or after the first day.

Fundamentals of Public Speaking

Easiest, or maybe just lightest, semester yet.

General Genetics
Statistics
O-chem II w/lab

13 hours in total which beats the 16 hours I've had every semester for the last 2-1/2 years. Unfortunately, I still have to work next semester.

Troy

Organic II
Microbiology (Going to be my hardest class)
Calculus I
Human Anatomy
Piano II
Independent research: chemistry

Human Anatomy (at community college)
Interpersonal Communication (at community college)
Physiology Lab
US History
Immunology

And i'm considering whether to add Neurobiology lab or not.

1. Managing and Monitoring Clinical Trials
2. Advanced Study Design
3. Advanced Statistics
4. Regulatory Affairs

Biochemistry (3)
General physics II with lab (4)
Host-Microbe Interactions (3)

Why do you think that Microbiology is going to be your hardest class? Just curious? It is a lot of work, but not very hard to understand (nothing like Organic :scared: ) Than again maybe you are one one those who love O-chem 🙂 Anatomy requires a lot of time as well....memorizing tuberosities, condyles, tubercules... enjoy! 🙂

I had organic II and micro in one semester. Not too bad...but I still hate orgo.

Gen Chem 2
Calculus
Anatomy

Total = 13 units

Working 20 hrs/week

Glad you guys started this thread because it makes me feel like I have an easy life! Good luck next semester everyone.

Organic Chemistry 2 (5 units)
Calculus (4 units)
Biochemistry (5 units)

genetics w/ lab
PHysics 1 with lab
Anatomy Physiology 2 w/ lab
English literature
Research: Chemistry (most likely but not sure)

Oh yeah, which sounds more interesting?
1. Building synthetic membrane
2. Purifying other useful drugs from caffeine
3. Protein modeling

It's so hard to decide! #3 is hard because I have never done it before so it'll be like another class for me. #2 is just like organic chemistry so it should be less time intensive than the other two. #1--> I have to talk with the research advisor to find out more info about it. But from what I read on his profile, he builds synthetic membrane to ease drug coming into the membrane or something like that.

This seems easy too since I know many things about cell membrane already.

Where are you taking these clases, and is RA very boring?
I like Clinical trials also...

Ah Microbio is known to be one of the harder classes offered down here. I've heard many horror stories about it 🙁. Microbio is also all group based. You're assigned groups at the beginning of the semester and your grade depends on the performance of the people in your group. On quiz days a person is randomly selected from your group and takes the quiz. You (and the rest of the group) get the grade that they make on the quiz and have no control if they fail it. Lab is taught in groups also 🙁.

That is the most amazing thing I've ever heard. That's even worse than my physics class where the curve is based on the average score on exams, but the exams are so easy that everybody gets a 100 percent (well, not everybody but the average is really high). So people with 94% at the end of the semester are looking at B's.

So, do the people in your group also pay your tuition? That just sounds like a lazy ass professor who needs a career change to me.

Really? That does sound very different. My Microbiology class had lab group work, but testing was done on an individual basis. I guess just hope for a great "group" and maybe try to find creative ways to motivate others if you need to.

-MicroBio
-Org Chem II
-Anatomy

work 40 hrs/week

Hopefully we will all survive our schedules!! 😱

BIO I w/ lab
Micro w/lab
Physics I w/ lab
O Chem II w/ lab
Independent research in chem...

I'm scared. 18 hours and they all have labs.

😱

That has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Sorry but I can't believe the professor can get away with something like that. That's not hard, it's just stupid. Sounds to me like someone told you a story to scare you 😛

Well if you can handle that schedule I dont know why you wouldn't be able to handle pharm school...

...Think about it that way 🙂

I hope that you are not working while going to school? I will be quitting my job in August to go to school 18 hours a semester. I was just wondering if you worked or just go to school?

Thanks 😀 😕 😀 😀

Organic Chem II with lab
Biochemistry
Physics II with lab
Experimental Bio lab

I don't know where the other thread went, but here's one we can recycle for future semesters/qtrs to come! Pre-pharm, pharmacy, medschool, whatever!

Just post the course and/or course titles of your planned courses. This is a great way to see if any other forumers are taking the same courses!

Winter 2006:
Anatomy 1
Cinema 107 honors [honors GE for my degree]

Spring 2006:
Organic Chemistry II
Calculus II
Cell Biology and Evolution
Statistics

Pharmaceutics II + Lab.
Anatomy&Physiology II + Lab.
Pharmacy Practice + Tutorial.
Pharmacy Skills Lab.
Pharmaceutical Analysis + Lab.
Biochemistry

And another course, I forget.

This is why you shouldn't go into pharmacy. I have 7 courses and 4 labs.

Intro to research in toxicology
Molecular toxicology
Computational toxicology
Pharmacology and toxicology
Ethics and technology
Marine Mammals

This is my last semester so the marine and ethics classes are just for fun 😛

Physics 1 w/lab (4)
Chem 1 w/lab (online) (4)
Bio 2 w/lab (4)
possibly...Calculus (5)

I am still deciding if I'll take Calculus next semester (depends if I pass trig!). If not, then in the summer.

Has anyone ever taken a science course online? I'm apprehensive about taking Chemistry as an online course, but it's the most convienient for my family's schedule right now.
