I'm a Grade 12 High school student going to attend university in the upcoming 2009 school year. My ultimate goal is to attend Medschool but I know I will have to attain a very high GPA as well as accomplish other things first.
My average is around 90% so I should be accepted to all the universities I had applied for. The problem is, I am stuck on choosing which University as some science programs require a much lower admission average (ie 77%) and some that require high marks (ie 87%+)
I've heard many stories about how students should choose an easy program so that they will be the "top students" in their class and thus will end up with a higher mark at the end because of curving, etc.. since your GPA will be a big determining factor for your acceptance in Medschool.
I understand that my GPA will reflect how much effort I put into studying despite which university I attend. But of course, I want to maximize my chances at Medschool.
If my only goal is to get into Medschool, would this be a good choice?
Should I be the shark in the sea, or a fish in the ocean?
Thanks for your time, please advise
