What blender are you getting?

thats a neat blender.. i like that its a dual food processor too.. neat.. i bookmarked it, i may need to get one too.. the plastic on my blender is cracked so i can only pour liquid up to a certain point.. and it smells like burning plastic when i run it..

I think I'm going to get this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-BFP...r_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1204131945&sr=1-4

I can't find the food processor attachment for my current blender, and I like being able to make chicken salad from fresh-cooked chicken. IMO, the ideal med student sandwich filling.

It blends foods, but the Cuisnart-BFP? I think you should try the Cuisnart-RDG. RDG's have been around longer, and I hear that they may have a slight advantage at preparing highly specialized-gourmet foods, which will automatically places you on the same level as Wolfgang Puck and Emeril.

I AM SOOOO SORRY I POSTED THIS!

Assuming I would buy a blender is assuming I would be doing blending of some sort.

Or a good toy for my kids. 😉

I hope not. :scared: I don't know if I've ever bought anything for my kitchen. Almost everything was either given to me for my wedding in '96 or was a hand-me-down. I had the awesomest blender from the 70s or something but it didn't work very well. Then someone gave me a pretty good used (new to me) stainless steel one a year or two ago. I don't really ever use it though.

ok, you people have too much time on your hands, if you all would like I could give you some of my work to do. Anyone want to write a physics paper....anyone.....anyone

but on a side note, I have this blender and it is great, I also have three, count them three food processors, I'm a food processing bandit

It could just be for decoration.

I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer that does this very well!! Well, I do use it 2-3 times a year I guess.

So, my next question is what bread maker should I get? My dad made bread and pizza dough when we were visiting with him, and now I want one, but his was old and crappy. Any suggestions?

Mine's a lovely decor piece too! I've actually been using it a lot lately, but of course once school starts it'll probably end up gathering dust 🙁

But... but... non-bread-maker bread tastes so much better!

Anyway, blenders. I'm a fan of Oster.

So I have a fancy blender given to me by my grandparents. GREAT. Now that the blender stuff is out of the way I have another question. I have been searching for a brain compatible external hard drive to aid me while in med school. Any of the internet savvy folks on here know where I could possibly find one?🙄

Do you really need to have all your porn wired directly into your brain?

I know a guy.
Everyone calls him tweek and his business practices are a little shady, but he's dirt cheap.

I used my blender as an undergrad, but I'm not sure it's up to standard for med school. Also, I use my blender mostly to make smoothies after a workout, but what is the best kind of smoothie to study anatomy with? :scared:

Definitely wait till school starts to buy anything - most schools have a required blender. You'll get more info during orientation.

A couple schools like LECOM only allow certain specific blender attachments and settings. They're very strict about it.

I heard at LECOM there is a dress code for the blenders? is this true?

I think the only blender that would ever be needed in life is the Magic Bullet (I'm an infomercial Junkie)...I have one, and I've never used my old blender again...

Something like this? (sorry it's so big, I don't do this often)

you know I got a magic bullet and it broke on my a week later, not impressive

"Magic bullet" doesn't exactly sound like it belongs in the kitchen...

I can't believe I'm posting in this thread-but it was too funny not to. Thanks Tex.👍

And for the record, I recommend a Braun.

I keep mines at Dunkin Donuts... don't judge me 😉

I agree... but can you imagine if we made a thread about that?

I'm guessing we would have to take that one to the lounge.

But maybe we could start a 'Which on are you getting for med school?' thread.
