hey everyone! This cycle is far from over but after coming out of 4 pre-dec interviews with 3 rejections and one waitlist, I want to atleast try to plan ahead in case reapplying ends up becoming reality.

What can I do to improve my application apart from my personal statement/essays? Perhaps my interview style?

I have a 3.56 oGPA, 3.46 sGPA, 22AA/23TS/18PAT/24RC.
250+ shadowing hours
Some volunteering hours at an elementary school and a dental clinic
1 year of research
Exec positions in a few organizations

Well, you had multiple interviews so your stats definitely brought you to the interview table... it must be how you interviewed. I would, of course, keep taking 1-2 classes in the mean time and reapply and change your interviewing style. Remember: your personal statement and application got you interviews, you need to represent exactly what your personal statement and application had. Not a completely different person if it seemed that way. Adcoms just want to verify that the person in real life fits the description on their application. Good luck. Also, I would try to e-mail the school that waitlisted you and provide an academic update within the next 2-3 months.

I agree with Typical. You're stats/overall application is clearly competitive since it has landed you 4 interviews. I'd recommend practising mock interviews with some family and friends. Try to do this with people you know will be honest about your mannerisms. Hopefully you can get feedback on ways you can better portray yourself.

1. Apply more broadly next time- your GPA isn't low but it isn't high either and same with PAT score. I wouldn't retake the DAT because you might go down in more important areas like TS. Seems like you have a pretty good application, but maybe you should add some unique things to your application that you enjoy to set yourself apart, think about doing things you enjoy that isn't solely to pad your resume/app. This will give you more to talk about in point #2.
2. Practice interviewing, discover yourself & be confident in letting people get to know you and your story! Other people had good tips about this one.

This cycle seems so brutal. People with good stats like you are getting waitlisted from all their pre-Dec interviews, which was a very unlikely scenario in previous years. I don't have any specific advice for you other than what people already said, I just wish you best of luck and do not lose your hope on this cycle yet. It's still very early. I think you'll eventually get in somewhere and won't have to re-apply! 🙂

This is my feeling too-

You're qualified and had a great number of interviews so I believe, like everyone else said, it must've been your interviewing skills that needed to be strengthened. I would advise to practice that and purchase some books off Amazon. In addition, obtaining relevant work life experience is helpful. I'm just throwing that out there in case someone says you need to do a postbacc or Masters or retake the DAT. I wouldn't do any of those in your case. Hopefully, you don't need to reapply. If you do, I've been told by many adcoms they compare your last app and current app and they want to see major changes because otherwise it is a waste of their time and your time (and money) to have the same conversation.
