Hi SDN!

I am graduating this spring and am planning on (hopefully) matriculating into medical school in the fall. I'm constructing my final undergraduate semester schedule right now and was wondering if anyone had any advice.

I am currently planning on taking morphology/function 2 and general micro (unless for some reason my school comes out with more classes that fit my schedule). To meet the elective requirements for my degree, I need 1 more biology credit. Should I take the lab for morphology/function or for micro? What would be more useful in the long term? I know that microbio is known for being challenging, so should I just wait till med school? Or get some exposure now? Does it even matter?

If it is of any relevance, I will be enrolled in 17 credits (max is 18), so it'll be a busy semester.

Thank you!

i don't know what the lab for morphology and function would be like. but my microbiology lab was a whole lot of boring. all we did was culture a bunch of bacteria, and it was a snooze fest. the only labs i enjoyed and thought were useful were organic chemistry and biochemistry

Micro is fun (well to me) but not SUPER hard at my college idk about yours. But tbh - idk if general undergrad micro matters though lol

Take the Microbio lab if no other options present themselves. Morphology lab (and class) made me want to poke out my eyeballs. At my school, Micro was easier. But expect to forget a lot of it before you study it in med school.
