I was wondering what classes make up the science GPA, I know Biology and Chemistry do , but what other classes?

Biochem, Physics, Advanced Bio (Genetics, Physio, Micro, Nutrition etc). When I was applying I had a hard time deciding if computer science (programing) should be in the Science GPA. I probably could have left it out but ended up included it. I don't think math was in there.

I've never taken a nutrition class, but I don't see why not. They offered nutritional biochem at my undergrad. You have to take nutrition classes in many dental schools or so I'm told. It's not a social science or humanities. I'd add it to the sci GPA.

Why don't ppl take more sci classes to boost their sci GPA?
I think some ppl do. Classic example is taking credit for research hours. 3hrs or 6hrs of A. However, my school (and many others probably)don't give grades for research, only credit hrs.
I think the main reason ppl don't try to boost their sci GPA w more classes is once you've taken all your prereqs it's tough to find an easy science elective. I was a biochem major so there weren't many classes that I knew I could ace. Advanced inorganic? Mole bio? maybe. If you didn't get A's in the lower classes there's not much reason to think you can ace an advanced class. However, I did take cell bio (easiest sci elective) and I got an A, but in retrospect I should have taken micro or histo rather than take the easy A.
I think another reason is that ppl are equally concerned about their total GPA. Arguably more important. And it is much easier trying to boost your tGPA with psych or theater classes than more advanced science. Hope this helps.

I did research and recieved letter grades for it.
So in order to boost my GPA, I had four semesters worth of undergrad research. 🙂 That is the easiest A you can earn in college!
As far as taking easier classes to boost a GPA, Racemic said it all~! I was a Biology major and took a ton of upper division Bio courses. One thing I did notice was that the higher the course level (the more grad and seniors in the course) the more grade inflation there was! So A's and B's were the predominant scores....

I checked with my advisor that computer science courses are "NOT" count for science GPA. I graduated from computer science major, and he told me the courses I took before would not be counted for the science GPA. Oly bio, chem, and physics courses would be recognized as science GPA. Hope it might help.

Half of the stuff they say is either common knowledge of stuff made up. That's why I rarely go to an advisor thinking they will help me out. I do my own research. I believe SDN is a much more valuable resource than any undergraduate advisor.
