What did you do this summer?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Is it 10-12 miles continuous? or is there like a break here and there?

You don't have to run the entire time. I certainly tried, but my first one I definitely took "walking" breaks (more like waddling and flailing through mud). Second one was a wee bit different, and again I took breaks, but mainly only at the obstacles or when my shoe came untied.

Each course is quite different. Feel free to PM if you have any questions about my experience with em. My first mud-run was a tough mudder now i'm addicted. Can't wait to do my third event soon-ish.

I killed a guy for talking back to me. "Would you like fries with that?" WTF kind of racist remark is that?! *Bang. bang!* Damn skippy!

Full time medical assistant at a cardiology office. Surfing. Fishing. Partying.

3 summer courses at my uni (Eco Lab in 4 weeks, Genetics, Genetics Labs in 8 weeks)
Took an EMT course (Taking the licensing exam on Tuesday, fingers crossed)
Week vacation in Cali
Week back home in Texas
"Road Trip" by myself back to Chicago
School on the 27th 🙁

Worked full-time in a special services school district in an autistic classroom
Volunteered in the neurology ICU at my local hospital
Completed 27 secondaries (lol)
Read several great novels and started writing my own

LMFAO damn bro, you need a drink. Whiskey help every situation (until you wake up and realize all your problems are still there)

If I drank... I'd consider it! you have no idea damn...

Dang I thought my summer was rough! I've been doing research 45-55 hrs/week, tutoring 10 hrs/week, and trying to stay afloat through this crazy application process...

I guess better this year than next year which is my app year!

i just hope I'm able to pull decent grades because I'm so damn distracted.

Had a blast, parties, the beach, just an awesome time.

And secondary applications.

Volunteer, shadow, school, work, applications.

Cruise, traveling, beach, paddle boarding, biking, snorkeling, parties, working full time in emergency department.

work more, research, school, volunteer, and hang out 🙂

I killed a man for backtalking me. That's the last time my boss tells me what to do!

This is why I love sdn. This has to be the most competitive premeds in the country. The ones at my school only waited tables at TGIF or helped at sixflags over the summer. SDN members dont mess around.😎

+1. I totally agree.

Worked FT as a tech in a hospital. Did at least one OT shift a week to pay for this cycle. Filled out 20+ AMCAS and AACOMAS applications. Walked dogs at a shelter once a week. House sat a crazy dog for two weeks. Planned two cost-effective vacations (Caribbean, Central America) that I plan to take after I get all of these secondaries done. Planned a baby shower and a bridal shower.

Also spent a week recovering from a double ear infection. ER visits and morphine ftw!

Subjugating oneself to the idiotic demands of an admissions committee and volunteering (working for free) is awesome. 😎
