Now, I know lots of people did this, and I never thought I would, but I did... My best friend wore his lucky satin boxers on every interview (washed between!)... and I ended up doing something similar.

I wore my "Doc" (from 7 dwarves) underoos on my favorite-school interviews (washed between wears! obviously). They've served me well (the other dwarves as well).

Okay, now your turn to confess...

THAT must've been my mistake. 😉

I wore my North Carolina basketball shorts, from when I hit the game-winning shot against Georgetown to win the NCAA title game.

Oh wait...that wasn't me...

I wore a white coat

j/k:laugh:

Wore a diaper. Huggies Ultra Supreme.

Come on! Someone must have done something! Or worn something! Or used a certain shirt or shoes or something... even a prayer maybe? some ritual?

Bought a shot glass/t-shirt from every school I interviewed at.

Did not take a shot or wear the shirt until the acceptance letter arrived.

6 Interviews/6 Acceptances

Will be doing the same at my next interview at SUNY-Buff! 😎

My lucky underwear (mainly because my unlucky underwear wasn't... uh... clean... due to a misfortunate accident).

I try not to be superstitous, so I don't do anything like that. However, there was this girl I new in college who did a slightly weird thing. She used to go commando (no underwear) for interviews. The rationale was that it gave her lots of confidence to know that she knew something the interviewer didn't... 😛 😛 :luck: :luck:

i definately wore lucky underwear. 😀 ginch gonch, anyone? but i didn't have one, i had four! (um, only because sometimes i had two MD/PhD interviews lined back to back, and since MD/PhD interviews last two days, (and i was not going to wear one lucky underwear for four days) i decided to have four lucky undergarments... 😛)

Um, you are going into a science oriented field. Science generally does not allow for luck. Your actions make your own fate.
don't be so harsh! there's nothing wrong with little idiosyncracies like lucky underwear. i would much prefer someone doing that than someone spouting religious dogma at me.

I wore my suit, thats all I needed.

Hence the dirty underwear. Hello! 😉

It's actually not a bad idea if you tend to get incontinent when you get nervous.
Field tested and Nubcake approved👍 👍

but FOR REAL:

I WEAR MY LUCKY TIE. I don't know why it's lucky, but it's my favorite tie, and it looks sexy/sharp/professional on me. It's a blue Trump tie.😎

p.s. I have 0 interviews as of today. I'm a freshman 😀

I shave the night or two nights before and leave whatever is on my face for the interview.

As long as she's not wearing a skirt suit and pulls a Sharon Stone or a Britney...

I carried an awesome note that a friend wrote to me telling me how much I deserved this and wishing me luck. 🙂

But funny.

So you're telling me that my last rejection WASN'T because I didn't flash a little vag?

My purple CK boxers. The same ones that I wore when i took the MCAT. Are they that lucky... doubt it. They got me wait listed. Nonetheless, I'll continue to wear them on specail occasions.

I have a small zinc lucky frog that I kept in my pocket for each of the interviews.

So far, he is only 50% lucky.

My roommate gave me a children's medicine spoon before I left to take my MCAT. I had it with me during that, the test went well, and I've brought it with me to every interview since. It seems to do the trick 😎

At the very least, it's a reminder of the support my friends give me 😳

Edit: oh and lucky orange slice boxers.

He'll be 100% lucky when someone shoots you with a gun in the chest....and upon feeling your chest you find the bullet lodged in the frog!

Whew! I thought I was the only one who wore lucky underwear! Now I feel a bit more normal. 🙂 Lucky green VS bikini.

Yeah that wouldn't work for those of us who are ALWAYS commando.

This thread makes me love SDN more than ever 🙂. haha. you've made my red-eyed started day. On that note, i'm off to bed... and i happen to actually be wearing my lucky Doc panties, although there's nothing I need luck with today, but hey, it's boston and above 40 today, and that, already is luck.

three words:

Lucky penguin socks.

I had to take out my awesome skull earrings so they would take me serial, but I kept them in a ziploc bag in my messenger bag.

For every practice MCAT (and at the actual MCAT) I wore one of my mom's old shirts. On interviews that are really important to me I wore my mother's wedding ring around my neck. Not sure if it worked yet.

I wore a shirt I stole from my boyfriend to bed the night before all of my interviews, so I would feel loved and get a good night's sleep, no matter the jet lag. Worked pretty well I think, although he is taking all the credit.😀

Melissa, you are so awesome.
Everybody who is familiar with your story knows how significant this is.

I miss my ex. 🙁

Hey, if she had male interviewers I maintain she would've done better if she wore a skirt suit.

A pink tie.

Though my last interview was a last minute one at Cornell last week and I wore a blue tie, and kept my beard. And I got in yesterday. Sooooooo, I'm starting to think it wasn't the pink tie.
