What do Adcoms think about grades from dual enrollment?

I got about 4 B's as a dual enrollment student at my local community college. Chalk it down to new environment, coming from a crappy HS, or whatever. End result: bunch of A's and 4 B's (Trig, speech, biology 1, chemistry 1) - completed about 45 credits by the end of HS senior year.

Now, I've gotten A's in Physics 1 and Bio 2 in my first semester as a "freshman" in college, but I can't help but notice how much these stupid B's during DE are hurting my GPA.

Do adcoms look at these B's as a DE student with any leniency at all?

IIRC, the consensus is: when people have credits from DE/comcoll and later at uni the grades earned at the uni matter more. You still need a solid GPA to make your transcript worth a closer look, but you really don't need to worry about 4 early B's bringing you down much across 3-4 years of courses (and especially about 2-3 prereq B's when you have at least another 8 prereq semesters to take)

Keep in mind that we see GPA by year and that GPA from before HS graduation will have its own line as will freshman year and so forth. Your academic performance over 3 years (or more) will be taken into account when reviewing your application.

I had some 21 credits of dual enrollment credits when I applied this past cycle and they all contributed to my overall AMCAS GPA. I'm sure most schools will look at more recent grades with greater weight though.

I had about 18 units of dual enrollment classes applying this cycle and most of them were B's because I was a lazy high school student. No mention of it during any of my interviews and I still got in this cycle. My overall GPA was still good, though, but I think they are understanding when they see you took them in high school.
