I'm a 2nd year undergrad planning to start asking for Letters of Recommendation soon. The thing is, i don't know what to tell my writers to do with them or where to send them once i get them since I'm supposed to wave my right to see them.

The question is, am I supposed make an AMCAS account years in advance and store the LORs there, updating it until it's time to send the applications out to med schools? If not, what do I do?
There doesn't seem to be any information regarding this out there.

Please help me out on this

you can ask them to write it and keep it on file?

Can we ask why you are requesting letters so early? Sure, you can ask, but why do your professors need to write them so early?
Professors die, take sabbatical, accept two-year appointments to the National Science Foundation, get fired, relocate to other employment, take sick/maternity leave, become disabled, or forget who you are. Thinking ahead keeps one ahead of the game.

See if your school has a committee letter or a premed advisor to send them to. Else interfolio.

In reality, they should write them the year you apply. So get them now in interfolio and then have them update and resubmit in 2 years. Yes its fine
I want to make sure I can get the best letters from professors I connected with the most now, instead of having a close relationship now and then asking for an LOR in 2 years and having them say "who are you again?" Stuff like that. I want to stay fresh in their mind, yaknow

Medical schools prefer more recent letters when applying. So you even if you get them now, you will stay in touch and get updated ones at that time. Pay heed to what I say
You're right, but how do I stay connected with the for a year and a half after I take their class if we aren't buddies? Idk how to stay fresh in their mind as an amazing student instead of the guy who sends a short email every 3 months, any tips?
